Mother's Day is Coming. Here's Why You Should Honor Mom

April 26, 2018 2 min read

It’s not just another Hallmark holiday for us. It hits the core of our mission.

In founding Love is Project, our guiding mission was to connect the maker and wearer of our bracelets in a bond of love that transcends both geographical and cultural differences. As they say, love conquers all, and we’ve felt that to be true as we’ve watched Love is Project grow from a viral social media project into a company with artisans in six (soon to be eight!) countries and hundreds of thousands of customers.

Love is Project begins with our artisans: they’re the soul of this business, and what makes our success possible. They’re talented artisans and insightful entrepreneurs that impart a bit of themselves and their cultural traditions into every bracelet they touch. Many of them are also mothers.

Here’s something we know for sure: love starts at home, and nothing is more powerful than a mother’s love for her child. We see this love in action every day between our artisans and their families, and we remain so committed to providing the kind of employment opportunities that enable women to lead fulfilling professional and personal lives.

This month, we encourage you to make it a point to honor and thank the women around you that parent children and pets, and that give their love and nurturing to the world every day. If a gift is part of your plans, here are our picks for prezzies that will make her feel LOVED.
